Want to create an event page for your farmers market, vendor market, craft fair, or community event?

In this guide, we'll walk you through how to create an event page with Marketlly.

Your event page gives vendors and attendees a place to learn more about your market. You can add your event details, dates, images, vendor information, and attach your vendor application.

It also gives your event a public page that can be discovered through search engines like Google and LLMs.

Best of all, you don't need to know how to code.

Step 1: Create Your Event

Log in to Marketlly and click Create Event.

Start by adding basic information about your event, including:

  • Event name
  • Event images
  • Event date or dates
  • Additional event information

If you're hosting a one-time event, you can create a single event date.

If you organize a recurring farmers market or vendor market, you can add the dates for your season so visitors can see when your upcoming markets are happening.

Step 2: Add Content to Your Event Page

Next, add information about your event.

I recommend being as detailed as possible because this page can be useful for both vendors and attendees.

You can include information such as what type of market you're hosting, where the event takes place, event hours, parking information, what attendees can expect, and what types of vendors participate.

You can also use ChatGPT to help you write or improve the content for your event page.

The more useful information you provide, the easier it is for someone to understand your event before attending or applying as a vendor.

Step 3: Publish Your Event Page

Once you've added your information and everything looks good, click Publish.

Your event page will now be live and can be shared through your website, social media, emails, vendor communications, and other marketing channels.

You now have a dedicated page where people can discover your event and learn more about it.

Step 4: Attach Your Vendor Application

You can also create a vendor application in Marketlly and connect it to your event page.

When a vendor visits your event page and wants to participate, they can open the application and apply for your market.

This keeps your event information and vendor registration connected instead of sending vendors to several different websites or forms.

Do You Need a Landing Page for Your Event?

Technically, no.

You can promote your market through social media, flyers, Facebook events, and other channels without having your own event page.

However, I recommend creating one.

An event page gives you one permanent location where you can add additional information about your market and send vendors or attendees when they have questions.

It can also give search engines and AI platforms a page to reference when people search for your market or events happening in your area.

Do I Need to Know How to Code?

No.

You don't need to know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or any other programming language to create an event page with Marketlly.

Marketlly creates the page for you.

You simply add your event information, images, dates, and content, then publish the page when you're ready.
